Responsibilities

USA Health is seeking a board-certified/board-eligible (BC/BE) candidate for a faculty position in the Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology within the Department of Pediatrics at the University of South Alabama Frederick P. Whiddon College of Medicine. This role involves providing patient care for referrals from the central Gulf Coast, offering clinical instruction to medical students and residents, and participating in clinical research. Faculty members hold active staff privileges at USA Health Childrens and Womens Hospital. The appointment level is open to Assistant Professors. The team includes five physicians, one nurse practitioner, a dietitian, and four GI nurses. USA Health Childrens and Womens Hospital features a 100-bed NICU and a dedicated endoscopy suite with comprehensive anesthesia support.

We seek a candidate interested in intestinal rehabilitation, short bowel syndrome, and parenteral nutrition. Experience managing liver disorders is a plus.

The ideal candidate should be board-certified or eligible in Pediatric Gastroenterology and eligible for medical licensure in Alabama.
