Maintenance Manager – Manufacturing (Near Tuscaloosa, AL)
Full-time | Leadership Role | Relocation Offered

A well-established manufacturer is seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead maintenance operations at a high-performing facility located approximately 45–50 minutes from Tuscaloosa, AL. This is an opportunity to take ownership of a critical function in a rugged, fast-paced manufacturing environment where reliability, uptime, and team leadership are top priorities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead all maintenance and reliability efforts with a focus on safety and uptime

• Oversee preventive and predictive maintenance (PMs and PdMs) across the facility

• Collaborate with operations to identify and resolve root causes of equipment downtime

• Coach, develop, and hold your team accountable—mentorship is key in this culture

• Partner with engineering on site-level capital projects

• Utilize CMMS to drive performance tracking and continuous improvement

• Manage budgets, purchasing, and vendor relationships

Who We’re Looking For:

• 5+ years of maintenance leadership in high-speed, rugged industrial manufacturing —wood products, pulp/paper, building materials, or similar heavy-duty environments preferred

• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting knowledge, including PLC systems

• Experience managing a large maintenance team in a 24/7 operation

• Hands-on leader with a proven ability to build trust and lead by example

• High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred (Mechanical or Electrical Engineering ideal)

• Candidates from pharma, clean auto, warehouse, or food-grade environments are not a fit for this role

Preferred:

• Experience in wood products or similarly rugged manufacturing

• Understanding of what it takes to keep a heavy industrial facility running reliably under pressure
