Taurus Staffing is looking for a Safety Manager in the Calvert, AL area. Need to have OSHA 30 certification. Day and Night Shifts available.

Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations

- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions

- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine root causes and develop strategies for prevention

- Maintain accurate records of safety incidents, including detailed reports and documentation

- Provide training and education to employees on safety protocols, emergency response procedures, and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)

- Collaborate with management and department heads to develop safety goals and objectives

- Monitor workplace conditions to ensure compliance with occupational health standards

- Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and changes in safety regulations

- Manage workers' compensation claims process, including reporting, investigation, and resolution

- Oversee the development of emergency response plans and conduct drills to test effectiveness

Qualifications:

• Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or other relevant certification preferred

- Proven experience in developing and implementing safety programs in an industrial setting

- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and EPA requirements

- Excellent report writing skills with the ability to communicate complex information effectively

- Familiarity with workers' compensation laws and processes

- First aid/CPR certification is a plus

- Ability to develop and deliver effective safety training programs

- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
