JOB SCOPE

As our Operational Scheduling Analyst , and ‘Production Schedule Expert’ you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing scheduling at our food manufacturing facility.

In this position, you will oversee the day-to-day production schedule and be responsible for creating, managing, and optimizing production schedules at a food manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate has experience in food processing, strong ERP abilities, and excels at coordinating with multiple teams to meet production goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

• Production Scheduling
  • Develop daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules based on order forecasts, inventory levels, and staffing availability. Adjust weekly production schedule based on Customer Orders and MRP.
  • Audit engineering masters (bill of materials and resource requirements) for accuracy. Ensure bill of materials reflect current formula, labor requirements, and information for proper costing.
  • Maintain data integrity (troubleshoot and resolve errors) of MRP system.
  • Monitor process efficiency and implement continuous improvements.
  • Oversee daily plan versus actual reporting across all lines.
  • Update and maintain weekly and monthly production performance reports.
  • Distributes production forms (pick lists and work orders), collects, and stores production records in accordance with SOF System requirements.
  • Assists in execution of physical inventories.
• Team Contribution

• Reviews schedule with Blending Operations and ensures adequate staffing for each shift and role based on schedule demand.
• Foster a positive work environment focused on safety, productivity, and teamwork.

• Inventory and Supply Coordination

• Coordinate with procurement and warehouse teams to ensure the accuracy raw materials, finished goods, and packaging.
• Monitor usage rates and assist in scheduling methods to minimize waste.

• Compliance and Safety

• Ensure adherence to FDA regulations, HACCP protocols, and internal quality standards.
• Promote plant safety policies and procedures.

• Reporting and Analysis

• Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) including throughput, yield, downtime, and labor utilization.
• Analyze production data to identify trends and areas for scheduling improvement.

• Qualification

• Bachelor’s Degree in Operations Management, Industrial Engineering Technology, Statistical Analysis, Business Administration or a related field preferred.
• 3-5 years of experience in food manufacturing, with a minimum of 2 years of experience in a scheduling role.
• Application-level Material Requirements Planning (MRP) ability; construction and utilization of bills of material; inventory control, production planning and scheduling experience in manufacturing.
• Knowledge of inventory and scanning systems.
• Strong computer literacy in Microsoft products.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-volume environment.

• Work Environment

• Requires standing, walking, and lifting.
• On-site position in Central Alabama.
