Material Handler (Warehouse specialist)
Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Material Handler (Warehouse Specialist) to join our dynamic team in Alabaster, AL, 35007. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse by managing the flow of materials and products. Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and document incoming materials and products.
- Organize and maintain inventory in designated storage areas.
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment in a timely manner.
- Operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks, safely and efficiently.
- Assist in conducting regular inventory counts and audits.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure optimal workflow and productivity.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Adhere to safety protocols and company policies at all times.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or material handling role is a plus.
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems and inventory software.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Valid forklift certification is a plus, but not required (training will be provided).
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime as needed.
