Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification and 1+ years Pharmacy Technician experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This opportunity is for a Compounding Pharmacy Technician to support a veterinary compounding pharmacy on a temp-to-hire basis. The pharmacy primarily focuses on non-sterile compounding with some sterile preparations, shipping over 200 prescriptions daily. This role is critical to maintaining high-quality medication production for veterinary patients and requires a detail-oriented professional comfortable in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and compound veterinary medications, primarily non-sterile with some sterile preparations
• Package, label, and ready prescriptions for shipment
• Maintain compounding equipment and work areas in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• Assist pharmacists with daily workflow and production needs
• Comply with pharmacy procedures and quality assurance standards
• Maintain accurate documentation and inventory control
• Support a high-volume compounding operation while ensuring accuracy and quality

Qualifications / Desired Experience

• Active Pharmacy Technician registration/certification as required by state regulations
• Previous compounding pharmacy experience with non-sterile compounding required
• Sterile compounding experience preferred
• Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) certification preferred but not mandatory
• Veterinary or animal compounding experience is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow SOPs consistently
• Ability to thrive in a production-focused, high-volume setting
• Dependable, self-motivated, and willing to go above and beyond
• Collaborative team player with strong work ethic and adaptability

Schedule

• Monday through Friday with occasional flexibility based on production demand
