MAC Animal Hospital is seeking a Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our team!

This is an excellent opportunity for both newly graduated Licensed Veterinary Technicians and experienced technicians who are excited to practice high-quality medicine and build meaningful connections with clients and their pets. In this role, you will:

• Provide exceptional patient care during surgical and dental procedures, including anesthesia monitoring, patient preparation and recovery, and dental cleanings with radiographs
• Maintain efficient exam room flow while delivering outstanding client communication
• Review treatment plans, provide clear discharge instructions, and address client questions with empathy and confidence
• Collaborate closely with the medical team to support the veterinarian’s orders during outpatient visits and ensure the highest level of patient care

This position is ideal for detail-oriented technicians who are passionate about patient care, teamwork, and continuing to grow in a positive, respectful workplace.

Schedule: This is a flexible, full-time position with availability needed Monday–Friday .

• Typically three 10+ hour days and two half days
• Includes two weekends per month
  • Weekend treatment shifts include working a Saturday morning and returning during closed hours on Saturday night and Sunday to care for inpatient cases

Full-time benefits and compensation**:

• Compensation: $16-23 per hour, for each hour worked*
• Bonus package: $2,000 based on licensure
• CE allowance: Up to $1,000 annually based on licensure

Minimum qualifications and skill set:

• 1+ years of veterinary experience in a clinical setting
• Current Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) license in the state of Alabama
• Proficiency in the following skills:
  • Anesthesia induction and monitoring
  • Dental prophylaxis and dental radiographs
  • Venipuncture and IV catheter placement
  • Cystocentesis
  • IV/IM injections
  • Microscope evaluation
