Aftermarket Sales/Counter Sales Representative.
Location: Mobile, AL
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–4:30 PM
Salary: $50,000 per yearGenesis Staffing is seeking an experienced Aftermarket Sales/Counter Sales Representative to join an excellent team. We are looking for a motivated professional with strong knowledge of builders hardware, exceptional customer service skills, and the ability to manage sales and project responsibilities from initial contact to final billing. As an integral part of the sales team, you will build and maintain customer relationships, identify new business opportunities, prepare accurate bids, and oversee project execution to ensure customer satisfaction and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain regular communication with assigned customers to track job progress and identify upcoming opportunities.
- Cultivate new customer relationships in coordination with the Sales Manager.
- Obtain construction plans and specifications for upcoming projects in a timely manner.
- Participate in take-offs and interpret construction specifications to maximize bid accuracy and competitiveness.
- Review and submit bids on time, ensuring accuracy and customer-specific formatting.
- Follow up on bids, negotiate as needed, and secure awarded work.
- Maintain strong vendor relationships and secure competitive vendor pricing to optimize margins.
- Attend project meetings as required by customers or project status.
- Proactively manage projects through communication, vendor monitoring, and coordination with warehouse and shipping teams.
- Conduct job site visits to monitor progress, attend meetings, or resolve issues.
- Participate in sales meetings to share market insights and discuss upcoming opportunities.
Qualifications & Skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; familiarity with Comsense or similar industry software preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
- Strong knowledge of commercial doors, hardware, and applicable building codes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Strong mathematical skills.
- Outstanding interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
