Compensation: $45.00
Contractor Work Model: Hybrid – onsite and remote

Responsibilities

• Support the Grid Operations and Planning Research area within the Company’s Research & Development department.
• Support projects and lead efforts to deploy and evaluate the performance of emerging technologies in power system analysis and modeling.
• Focus on tools for grid operations, including digital twins, big data analytics, and visualization.
• Develop research plans to evaluate new technology.
• Manage multiple tasks concurrently.
• Provide documentation of study assumptions and methodologies.
• Prepare reports and presentations on project findings.
• Assist with occasional overnight travel as needed.

• Master of Science in Electrical Engineering (EE) required
• Proficiency in power system modeling and simulation (RTDS, PSCAD, or PSS/E) required
• Specialization in Power Systems preferred
• Training in/experience with computer programming (Python, C#, SQL) desired
• Training in/experience with data science desired
• Strong communication skills, both internal and external
• Excellent organizational skills
• Analytical skills with the ability to manage multiple projects
• Team-oriented mentality
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
• Strong problem-solving skills
