Co-Manager

Description

The Co-Manager will supervise business operations and perform administrative tasks to support the store manager.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

· Oversee the daily workflow of the store in the store manager’s absence. Assigns staff to ensure efficient operations.

· Manages the workflow of Grocery, Frozen and Dairy departments daily.

· Lead store department managers in the operations of each individual department.

· Recommends discipline and termination of employees by partnering with their Store Manager as needed and in accordance with policy.

Duties/Responsibilities:

· Create schedules assigned by the store manager.

· Ensures consistent, efficient, pleasant customer experiences; resolves any customer service issues, complaints, or requests.

· Continually seeks merchandising techniques to maximize sales in the Grocery and Frozen/Dairy departments.

· Display all Ad planner items and ensure the surveyed product is on the sales floor.

· Ensure all assigned orders are completed as scheduled.

· Maintain safety, cleanliness, and attractiveness of the store backroom.

· Responsible for all inventory numbers for their assigned departments.

· Works all the new items to the department’s shelf and ensures the deleted items are sold or marked down.

· Performs other related duties as required.

Requirements/Responsibilities

Required Skills/Abilities:

· Exceptional customer service and managerial skills.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

· Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.

Education and Experience:

· High School Diploma or Equivalent.

· At least three years of experience in retail management, preferably in grocery, with increasing levels of responsibility required.

Physical Requirements:

· Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.

· Must be able to traverse and access all areas of the supermarket.
