MACHINE OPERATOR

Schedule: 6:30 PM – 6:30 AM | 2-2-3 or 6:30 am/pm and pm/am SWING SHIFT

Shift: Nights

Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Slitter Operator to join our production team on 3rd shift. In this role, you will operate slitter machines to cut plastic polymer film into precise widths and measurements according to work orders and specifications. This position is ideal for someone with strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and experience in a manufacturing or converting environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate slitter machines to cut plastic polymer film to specified dimensions
• Read and interpret work orders, specifications, and measurements
• Monitor machine operation to ensure consistent quality and accuracy
• Perform quality checks to verify cuts meet required tolerances
• Make adjustments as needed to maintain product quality
• Complete basic troubleshooting and report mechanical issues
• Maintain a clean and safe work area while following all safety procedures

Qualifications:

• Previous experience operating slitter or similar industrial machinery preferred
• Ability to read measurements and follow work orders accurately
• Comfortable working 12-hour night shifts on a rotating 2-2-3 schedule
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Dependable, safety-minded, and able to work independently

This is a Permanent position based out of Decatur, AL.

The pay range for this position is $42640.00 - $43000.00/yr.
