Industrial Maintenance Technician

Key Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical issues on industrial equipment.
• Perform basic PLC diagnostics and troubleshooting.
• Install, inspect, and maintain equipment such as pumps, gearboxes, compressors, and packaging machinery.
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Use precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, feeler gauges) to ensure tight tolerances.
• Operate machine shop tools (lathe, drill press, shaper) to fabricate or repair parts.
• Perform rigging operations and calculate working loads for ropes, chains, and cables.
• Wire and troubleshoot 3-phase motors and work safely with up to 480 volts.
• Conduct field measurements, prepare sketches, parts lists, and purchase requisitions.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and inspections.
• Analyze wear and timing issues, reassemble and calibrate machines for optimal performance.
• Recognize mechanical defects through touch, sight, and sound.
• Perform refrigeration system maintenance and troubleshooting as needed.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and assist in training junior technicians.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED; technical certification preferred.
• 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Familiarity with PLC systems and basic programming.
• Ability to read meters and electrical schematics.
• Experience with gearboxes, pumps, and high-voltage systems.
• Knowledge of refrigeration systems is a plus.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $32.00/hr.
