You will work in a collaborative environment to understand system requirements, create and implement new capabilities and algorithms. Many of the algorithms and capabilities implemented by the team will be mathematics and physics intensive complex solutions that will be highly critical to the system performance. In addition to software development you will also be expected to support reviews of requirements and test cases that are developed for the software capability.\n\nBasic Qualifications:\n\n * Bachelor\u2019s degree in STEM related field, and 5 years of related experience, or a Master\u2019s degree with 2 years of related experience, or with a PhD.\n\n * Applicants must have a current, active in-scope DoD-issued Secret security clearance at the time of application, which is required to start\n\n * Recent and extensive Experience Developing Software in C++ or Java\n\n * Quick to learn and absorb new concepts and information\n\n * Recent MATLAB and or Python Experience \n\n * Must have an Interim or Active Secret Clearance \n\n * Unix/Linux Operating System Experience \n\n * Must be able to support an in-person / closed-area work environment \n\n\n\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n\n * Highly experienced with Linux, scripting, and operations \n\n * Experience with automated software requirements testing and analysis \n\n * Experience with the battle management and or fire control systems\n\n * Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and container orchestration.\n\n * Experience with Behavior Driven Development (BDD) using tools like Gherkin and Cucumber for automated acceptance testing\n\n * Experience with Static \u0026 Dynamic Code Analysis Tools and Fuzzing Tools such as: Coverity, Fortify, AND/OR SonarQube\n\n * Experience developing software in an Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) environment.\n\n * Experience with CI/CD, containers, and pipelines.\n\n * Experience with Software Change Control, Change Management, Code Quality, Static Analysis, and CI/CD tools such as: Atlassian tool suite, Jira, GitHub, GitLab, SonarQube, Coverity, and Jenkins.\n\n * Very solid background in math and physics\n\n * Advanced degree in Mathematics or Physics or Computer Science\n\n\n\n\nPrimary Level Salary Range: $108,800.00 - $163,200.00\n\nThe above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate\u0027s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.\n\nDepending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
