Reports to: Federal Programs Coordinator

Job Goals
- To assist the Federal Programs Coordinator in facilitating the federal programs for the school system.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in appropriate area (preferred) or equivalent work experience.
- Three (3) years' experience working with Federal Programs or in a Title I school setting.
- Valid Alabama certification in administration/supervision (optional).
- Ability to meet suitability criteria for employment and/or certification/licensure under the Alabama Child Protection act of 1999 and Act No. 2002-457.
- Knowledge of federal programs (Title I, Title II, Title III, Title VI, CRSD, Title IX, ESEA, ESL, etc.) and related regulations.
- Knowledge of collaborative budgeting process and ability to monitor and evaluate spending of federal funds.
- Ability to demonstrate effective leadership skills in group settings.
- Demonstrate proficiency in oral and written communication.
- Effective interpersonal skills, with an emphasis on communication and collaboration with a wide variety of people and groups, as well as government agencies.
- Ability to use effective public relations skills necessary for the successful implementation of new programs.
- Ability to use technology for instructional planning, communication, presentations, research, data analysis, budgeting, record keeping, reporting, scheduling and other job responsibilities as required.
- Physical mobility and visual acuity to visit schools and classrooms for the improvement of programs.
- Ability to be punctual and in regular attendance.
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may require.
Performance Responsibilities and Essential Functions:
- Demonstrates support for the school system and its vision, goals and priorities.
- Assists with program evaluations, operations, management, and strategic planning for system's federal programs.
- Assists in the preparation for ALSDE Compliance Monitoring.
- Assists schools with the development and implementation of comprehensive improvement plans, professional development plans, and other plans involving federal funds.
- Assists in organizing and conducting annual needs assessments or other applicable review or evaluation of program.
- Assists in the maintaining the Federal budgets and ensures that expenditures are in accordance with Title funds and federal guidelines.
- Provides support between the school administrators and the central office for federal programs.
- Assists in coordinates required in-service and professional development activities for program improvement.
- Ability to use technology to communicate, manage data, ad produce/submit required reports, correspondence, and other job responsibilities as required.
- Assists in reviews and evaluating the results of student testing programs and other evaluative measures used by the school system for continuous improvement of the school program.
- Represents the school system as directed at conferences, committee sessions, training seminars, community meetings, etc.
- Performs duties in a courteous and professional manner.
- Maintains confidentiality regarding school/workplace matters.
- Models and maintains high ethical standards.
- Demonstrates initiative in the performance of assigned responsibilities with minimal supervision.
- Maintains expertise in assigned area to fulfill project goals and objectives.
- Participates successfully in the training programs offered to increase skill and proficiency related to assignment.
- Responds to inquiries, requests, constructive feedback, concerns and/or complaints in a timely and positive manner.
- Serves on school/system committees as required or appropriate.
- Demonstrates support for the school system and its goals and priorities.
- Demonstrates initiative in identifying potential problems or opportunities for improvement.
- Engages in professional growth and demonstrates professional ethics and effective leadership.
- Reports potential problems, unusual events, or work irregularities to appropriate administrative or supervisory personnel.
- Properly uses and cares for equipment and material resources of the school system and effectively supervises and monitors others in the care, maintenance, and use of tools, equipment, and inventory.
- Responds to inquiries, requests, constructive feedback, concerns and/or complaints in a timely and positive manner.
- Maintains and submits reports, records, and correspondence in a timely and accurate manner.
- Physical mobility, and visual acuity to visit schools are other necessary areas to perform job responsibilities.
- Uses effective collaboration skills to work as a productive team member.
- Reports absences and takes leave in accordance with Board policies and procedures; prepares for substitutes according to Board policies and school procedures.
- Adheres to school system rules, administrative procedures, local Board policies, and state, federal, and local regulations.
- Ability and willingness to work a flexible schedule as needed.
- Performs any other job-related duties as assigned by the Federal Programs Coordinator or Assistant Superintendent.
Terms of Employment: Twelve-month position in accordance with Board approved salary schedule.
Evaluation: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the State Department of Education and/or Baldwin County Board of Education policy on evaluation of classified personnel.
