English Learner Facilitator for Bullock County Schools

Bullock County Schools and Spur Staffing are looking for a English Learner (EL) Facilitator is responsible for assisting K-12 English Learners (EL). The EL Facilitator collaborates with local district and staff and administrators to ensure quality of services provided. The EL Facilitator provides support in developing English proficiency and supports the students' access to grade level content expectations. The EL Facilitator may work one-on-one or with a group of EL students.

Essential Duties (May include, but not limited to): Responsible for assisting English Learners, generally grades K-12, at constituent school districts.

• Works collaboratively with school staff, ESOL program staff, students, and families.
• Communicates regularly and effectively with ESOL Program staff and local district staff and administrators both orally and in writing.
• Provides EL student support in developing English proficiency and assistance with grade-level content expectations.
• Develops and documents the speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills of EL student(s) through instructional support based on the State EL standards.
• Develops content academic vocabulary and language skills appropriate to the student's grade level.
• Collaborates with the EL student's classroom teacher(s) and/or ESL Teachers to help the student complete and comprehend content lessons and assignments.
• Integrates the instruction of strategies to help improve the student's independent academic performance.
• Develops and maintains accurate records documenting schedules, work details, student linguistic development, and/or accommodations.
• Provides input about culture and language acquisition to facilitate understanding in the school community.
• Facilitates home/school communication and partnership promoting access to information and translation; may provide translation services as requested by supervisor.

Qualifications:

Cleared Alabama State Department of Education background check

Experience in field

Bachelors preferred

The pay for this position is $120.00 per day.
