What you’ll need to succeed:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification
- Experience working with students with mild to moderate disabilities preferred
- Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation
- Ability to adapt instructional strategies for individual students
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with staff and families
- Familiarity with progress monitoring and data collection
Role responsibilities:
- Create and deliver engaging lesson plans tailored to individual student needs
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Provide direct instruction and support to students in a classroom or resource setting
- Collaborate closely with general education teachers, counselors, and school administration
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate updates with families
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment
