We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Entry-Level Construction Field Assistant to support field operations on civil construction projects. This role involves assisting with site coordination, safety inspections, reporting, and subcontractor oversight. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in civil construction, a strong focus on safety compliance, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced field environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support daily field activities on civil construction projects, including site preparation, grading, utilities, and infrastructure work
• Assist in coordinating subcontractors to ensure work is completed according to project schedules, specifications, and quality standards
• Perform routine site inspections to monitor safety compliance, identify hazards, and ensure corrective actions are implemented
• Develop and Implement jobsite specific Jobsite Hazard Analysis
• Help ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and environmental guidelines
• Track materials, equipment, and workforce usage on-site
• Assist in reading and interpreting plans, drawings, and specifications
• Communicate effectively with field supervisors, project managers, and subcontractors to support smooth project execution
• Support problem-solving efforts related to scheduling conflicts or field issues.
• Other duties as required.

• Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 5-10 years of experience in construction or field support role
  • Basic understanding of civil construction processes (earthwork, drainage, utilities, roadwork, etc.)
  • Experience with safety inspections and reporting required
  • Familiarity with subcontractor coordination and field operations
  • Ability to read construction drawings and specifications required
  • Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products required
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification required.
  • Knowledge of basic surveying or layout techniques required
  • Experience with construction management tools ( Procore, Bluebeam, Insight) required
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to job site safety
