Data Engineer
- Design, develop, and optimize robust ETL/ELT pipelines using SQL Server, ensuring efficient data ingestion, transformation, and loading processes.
- Integrate data pipelines seamlessly with cloud services such as AWS Glue, Azure Data Factory, and GCP Dataflow to enable scalable and flexible data operations.
- Implement real-time streaming solutions leveraging Kafka, Kinesis, and similar technologies to support live data processing.
- Develop and enhance data models and architectures to facilitate high-performance analytics and reporting.
- Collaborate with governance and SQL engineering teams to establish standards, optimize workflows, and ensure data quality and security.
- Utilize programming languages such as Python, Scala, and Java for pipeline development, automation, and integration tasks.
- Automate deployment, infrastructure provisioning, and monitoring through DevOps practices using Terraform, Ansible, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Create technical documentation, including pipeline diagrams, data flow diagrams, and compliance reports, to ensure transparency and maintainability.
- 5–7 years of professional experience in data engineering, database development, or related fields.
- Proven expertise with SQL Server, including building and optimizing stored procedures and pipelines.
- Hands-on experience with cloud integration and data orchestration tools like Airflow and DBT.
- Strong programming skills in Python, Scala, or Java, with applicable certifications (e.g., Python Institute PCPP, Scala Professional Certification preferred).
- Familiarity with DevOps automation tools (Terraform, Ansible) and containerization platforms (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Background in data modeling and architecture, ideally with vendor-specific training (e.g., Snowflake, AWS Big Data Specialty).
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on performance optimization and troubleshooting.
- Strong documentation skills and the ability to communicate complex technical details.
