About the Role:

As a Social Service Director at Birmingham Rehabilitation and Wellness Center, you will be responsible for providing exceptional social services to our residents, while also overseeing a team of social workers and therapists. Your primary focus will be on ensuring that every individual in our care receives personalized attention, support, and guidance to achieve their goals and improve their quality of life.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized care plans for residents, in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams

• Supervise and mentor social workers and therapists to ensure high-quality, resident-centered care

• Conduct assessments, identify needs, and provide interventions to address social, emotional, and psychological concerns

• Foster strong relationships with residents, families, and healthcare providers to promote open communication and collaboration

• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance the overall resident experience

• Manage and coordinate social services programs, including counseling, case management, and resident activities

• Collaborate with other departments to address resident needs and concerns

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work

• Strong leadership and management skills, with experience supervising staff

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse populations and stakeholders

• Comfortable with technology and able to learn new systems and software
