Alabama Aquarium & Ponds Services, Inc. is excited to announce an opening for a dedicated and energetic individual to join our team as an Aquatic Service Laborer. This role does not require previous experience and is perfect for individuals looking to start their career in aquatic services, offering extensive on-the-job training and opportunities for professional growth.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain and service various aquatic systems, including backyard water gardens, decorative concrete fountains, swimming pools, and koi ponds.
- Assist in the installation and maintenance of aquatic equipment under the supervision of experienced foremen and supervisors.
- Conduct regular checks and balances to ensure all aquatic systems are functioning properly.
- Participate in on-site assessments and prepare service reports detailing the condition of the systems and any recommendations for maintenance or repair.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure that all tasks are completed promptly and meet the company’s high standards of quality and safety.
- Adapt to a variety of outdoor working conditions throughout the year, from the heat of summer to the cold of winter.
- Engage fully in physical labor tasks, which can be strenuous, ensuring to follow all health and safety regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service, ensuring client satisfaction in all service-related interactions.
Requirements
- Must be self-motivated and capable of working efficiently without constant supervision.
- Willingness to work alongside our foremen and supervisors in an outdoor setting.
- Ability to endure long, strenuous work hours in both hot and cold seasonal conditions.
- No previous experience required in the field of aquatic services.
- High school diploma or equivalent; no college degree required.
- Excellent physical fitness and ability to engage in physical labor tasks.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with team members and clients.
- Must be available for full-time work. NO WEEKEND WORK required.
