Job Summary

If you're interested in a n Entry Level Seed Technician job , then this is the best role for you! Seed Technicians support all aspects of seed production, including indoor processing/packaging and outdoor field activities. Tasks range from equipment maintenance to data entry and inventory management. Extended hours and overtime may be required during peak seasons.

Job Description

• Perform indoor seed processing and packaging: receiving, scanning, cleaning, treating, sorting, counting, labeling, and warehousing seed.
• Conduct outdoor activities: planting, pollinating, note taking, data entry, and hand harvesting.
• Carry out preventive maintenance of equipment in assigned areas.
• Collect electronic data in field and laboratory settings using PC and handheld devices (for R&D roles).
• Organize, move, and place seed into storage while maintaining inventory accuracy using electronic inventory systems (for Production roles).
• Follow all safety requirements and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Work extended hours, including long periods of sitting, standing, bending, and lifting as needed.

Skills Required

• 1–3 years of relevant experience preferred.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions in English.
• Basic mechanical skills and ability to operate/troubleshoot equipment.
• Proficiency with MS Office/Excel and standard computer/software systems.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to perform tasks accurately.

Education/Training/Certifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.

Additional Requirements

• Must pass a drug screening .
• Must be available for 2nd Shift: 2:00 PM – 12:30 AM .
• Must be available for 10–12 hours of overtime per week .
• Ability to bend, lift, and stand or sit for extended periods.
• Must adhere to all site safety protocols and client SOPs.

Pay Rate/Salary

• Estimated Salary : $17.00 to $25.00 per hour based on qualifications.
