Role: AC/DC Rewind Specialist (West Virginia)

Own the complete rewind lifecycle for motors and components in our West Virginia operation.

What you’ll do

• Measurement and teardown
  • Record exact dimensions before disassembly.
  • Disassemble equipment to evaluate damage and winding failures.
  • Document findings and verify stator/iron condition.
• Rewind execution
  • Strip coils without damaging cores.
  • Rewind the following with precision:
    • Random- and form-wound three-phase AC motors
    • Armatures
    • Wound rotors
    • DC fields
  • Apply specified insulation systems.
  • Braze leads and connections.
• Quality and process control
  • Conduct and log electrical tests at each stage.
  • Run varnish and VPI (Vacuum Pressure Impregnation) processes.
  • Clean after VPI/varnish and manage bake/burn-off oven cycles.
  • Media blast for surface preparation.
  • Operate shop machinery safely; maintain a clean, organized work area and follow PPE rules.
• Support work
  • Assist with other motor and generator repairs as needed.

What you’ll need

• Minimum 2 years of motor winding experience.
• Proficiency with motor configurations, winding techniques, and insulation practices.
• Ability to perform and document electrical testing accurately.
• Brazing proficiency; strong measuring skills; solid basic math.
• High attention to detail, quality, and safety.
• Dependable, self-driven, and a strong team contributor.
