Degree in Physical Therapy, active Physical Therapist license and 1+ year of Physical Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A full-time Physical Therapist opportunity is available to provide support across multiple K-12 school sites within the district. This contract position is based in Helena, AL, and runs from August 6th through November 13th. The role requires delivering comprehensive physical therapy services to students in school settings, helping to enhance their motor skills, mobility, and overall physical development.

Work Schedule and Location:

• Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
• School hours: 7:30 AM to 3:00 PM
• Service all district K-12 sites located in Helena, AL
• Contract duration: August 6th to November 13th

Responsibilities:

• Assess and evaluate students’ physical therapy needs
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to support student health and mobility
• Collaborate with educators, parents, and healthcare providers to promote optimal student progress
• Maintain detailed documentation of therapy services and student progress
• Support students across various school environments within the district

Qualifications:

• Licensed Physical Therapist with relevant state certification
• Experience working in school-based physical therapy settings preferred
• Strong knowledge of pediatric physical therapy interventions
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to manage caseload across multiple sites efficiently
