Senior Systems Engineer

We have an immediate opening for a Senior Systems Engineer who will support Space Force and Golden Dome for America (GDA) in Huntsville, AL. This will be a high visibility position for Capstone Research Corporation with a significant opportunity for growth. Salary for this position will depend on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support GDA and Space Force with systems engineering and integration expertise
• Serve as the technical authority on large-scale, complex weapons systems projects, providing strategic direction and oversight.
• Design, develop, and integrate advanced system architecture, ensuring compliance with technical, safety, and performance requirements.
• Innovate and drive the development of new technologies and methodologies to enhance system capabilities.
• Lead cross-functional teams, coordinating efforts across engineering disciplines, project management, and customers.
• Mentor and develop engineering talent, fostering a culture of technical excellence and innovation.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to define and execute the company's technology strategy and roadmap.
• Provide periodic program reviews and technical presentations to high-ranking government and industry stakeholders.
• Build long-term relationships with new and existing customers

Qualifications:

• BS Engineering (MS Preferred)
• 9+ years of experience in weapons systems engineering, with significant experience leading complex projects.
• Demonstrated ability to plan and execute complex system of systems integration efforts from initial concept definition through integration and test, incorporating complex threat scenarios.
• Experience with and in-depth knowledge of DoD operations, concepts, and technologies

• Ability to grow technical efforts and take on task leadership for the Company.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to travel 6-12 trips per year with multiple destinations
• Top Secret Security Clearance
• Must be US Citizen
