Team Manager – Cold Rolling Mill Support Systems

THE BASICS

• Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, or equivalent related experience in heavy industrial environment

• Minimum 5 years of experience in operations, maintenance or project engineering in a heavy industrial environment
• Experience with Microsoft Office products (especially Excel) and general computer proficiency
• Experience with SAP (Purchase Requisitions, Work Orders, Notifications)

THE EXTRAS

• Experience with or design knowledge of Acid Regeneration, Steam Generation, Water Treatment, Demineralized Water Production, Compressed Air Generation
• Ability to troubleshoot industrial equipment, i.e. pumps, valves, flowmeters, burners, filtration

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

• Responsible for Safety, Environmental Compliance, Production, and Cost for Acid Regeneration, Steam Generation, Water Treatment, Demineralized Water Production, Compressed Air Generation
• Lead and train team of 2 specialists, 4 shift managers and 21 operators
• Ensure Safety compliance of all personnel and contractors 100% of the time
• Ensure Environmental compliance of all processes 100% of the time
• Ensure reliable operation of Cold Rolling Mill, Hot Dip Galvanizing Lines and Hot Strip Mill by supplying required utilities (acid, steam, water, air) without interruption
• Interface with Veolia (water treatment facility)
• Communicate and plan equipment needs with Maintenance group
• Plan and support equipment outages
• Analyze performance and investigate breakdowns: Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Actions
• Optimize operation in terms of productivity and cost (energy and chemical consumption)
• Manage relationships with outside suppliers
• Fulfills the commitment to ensure a safe and healthy work environment
• Fulfills the responsibilities required to achieve the Quality Commitment
• Coordinates, trains, and leads operators for special tasks and responsibilities

YOUR WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Office and Industrial setting in the Cold Rolling Mill
• Gulf coast region in Calvert, AL
• Days, Monday to Friday with extended hours as required due to periods of peak workloads
