Description

Primary Responsibilities/Requirements:

• Assist various orthopedic physicians under the direction of Clinical Director
• Provide coverage for clinical teams as needed
• Perform general nursing duties
• Perform suture/staple removal
• Perform wound care/dressing changes
• Drawing up meds; calling in medications
• Application of sterile fields
• Application and removal of casts and splints
• Locate any necessary imaging, test results or reports for upcoming appointments
• Schedule and precert MRI'S, lab work, procedures, and surgeries
• Prepare exam rooms, restock supplies for clinic, power up computers, etc.
• Prepare for clinic by printing out patient information as requested by physician
• Assist with verifying pre-op labs and scheduling surgery clearances as needed
• Assist other team members as needed
• Fill out disability, return-to-work, and insurance forms
• Obtain physician signature on miscellaneous forms
• Travel locally to satellite offices as schedule requires
• Friendly and Professional patient communication when answering and returning patient phone calls, providing various forms of patient education and handouts, escorting patients to and from exam rooms, appointment/surgery reminder calls, responding to and chart patient messages and communicating test results to patients with direction from physician
• Team POC for Administration and physician contact
• Manage physician clinic and delegation of clinical work following direction of physician
• Collaborate with manager/director on team member evaluations and discipline
• Assist manager/director and HR in filing open positions
• Manage team personnel issues, escalating to manager/director and HR when appropriate
• Participate in and support other special projects as needed
• Review, correct, and approve timecards
• Manage team staffing and approve time off requests
• Review and approve Certify/Emburse
• Collaborate with other Clinical Team Leads

Must also possess:

• HS Diploma/GED required
• MA or ROT certified
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, TOC physicians and staff
• Ability to work under pressure, multitask and meet deadlines
• Outstanding organizational, verbal and writing skills
• Independent, self-starting and highly motivated
• Strong patient care and interpersonal skills
• Proven positive, "teamwork" attitude and work history
• Minimum one-year full time clinical experience in healthcare preferred

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to use arms, hands, and fingers skillfully
• Frequent moving, pushing, pulling of heavy patients and/or equipment
• Constant standing and walking
• Must be agile and able to work efficiently in space limited areas
• Consistently work at a productive pace
• Must readily adapt to frequent treatment schedule changes
