Warehouse Maintenance

Reports to: Warehouse Manager

FLSA Status: Non Exempt

Purpose of Job:

Maintenance associates are responsible for keeping all areas clean and performing the assigned warehouse maintenance tasks.

Description of Physical Tasks:

Keep all warehouse areas and grounds clean. Fills racks, pick lines and all pick locations. Pushes/pulls pallets and loads and unloads appropriate company products (approximately 20 to 50 lbs per case). Climbing on and off forklifts is required.

Responsibilities Include

1. Must report to work on time and clock in and out properly.
2. Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing and vacuuming.
3. Keep all outside areas and grounds of facility clean and free of garbage and debris.
4. Gather and empty trash in all areas of facility.
5. Bale all cardboard and plastic stored throughout the facility.
6. Service, clean and supply all restrooms around facility when needed.
7. Clean building interior to include walls, offices, racks and any area included in the facility.
8. Use all chemicals only for their intended use and only according to specifications.
9. Report any accidents to manager on duty immediately.
10. Report any areas of the facility that appear to be unsafe or problematic.
11. Prior to the end of your shift each day ensure all empty pallets are removed from the pick area and properly stored.
12. Maintain open and clear communications with the owners, managers, and other employees of the company.
13. Maintain open and clear communications with the vendors and retailers that do business with the company.
14. Obtain from the Warehouse Manager approval prior to working in excess of your regular schedule.
15. Dress in uniform and maintain your personal appearance in a professional manner and according to company policy.
16. Conduct all your activities within the guidelines of all company policies and procedures.
17. Conduct all of your activities in accordance to the local, state and federal liquor control regulations.
18. Perform all work activities in accordance to the safe work practices, policies and procedures.
19. Adhere to all established inventory control procedures and practices.
20. Help second and third shift with the loading of carts/pallet trucks as needed.
21. All other duties as assigned.
