QA Records Technician

Facilitates all aspects of record compliance, which includes verification of test performance, frequency, and compliance to customer specifications and industry regulatory standards. Generates various reports concerning the manufacture, qualification, and certification of final product. Maintains Quality Assurance – Steel Pipe records systems in compliance with the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), American Petroleum Institute (API), customer and Company procedures. Reviews industry regulatory standards and customer specifications to generate Manufacturing Control Forms to convey manufacturing requirements.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Must exhibit the ability to add, subtract, divide, multiply and use certain formulas.
2. Must exhibit the ability to read and interpret specifications and codes relating to ERW Steel Pipe. Must also exhibit the ability to read and interpret test results for compliance to said specifications.
3. Must be physically able to perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations.
4. Must exhibit a valid state issued driver's license.
5. Must exhibit excellent attention to detail and good organizational skills.
6. Must exhibit a working knowledge in the use of word processing, spreadsheet, and database software, such as Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
7. Must exhibit the ability to generate "Certified Test Reports" and be able to recommend modifications to the report format as needed.
8. Must exhibit good interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with persons of different socio-economic, cultural, and educational backgrounds. Must exhibit the ability to cooperate well with other individuals and establish and maintain effective working relationships.
9. Must exhibit good oral and written communication skills with all levels of the Company (i.e., good command of grammar and spelling). Must exhibit the ability to communicate in a courteous, polite, and effective manner, both verbally and in written format.
10. Must exhibit the ability to work with confidential information and maintain confidentiality.
11. Must exhibit the ability to work independently, under stress, and meet deadlines.
12. Must exhibit the ability to learn technical information.
13. Must exhibit a good record of punctuality and attendance.
14. Due to the hazardous nature of the job environment (mobile equipment, overhead cranes, etc.), an acceptable level of vision and hearing is required in order to identify and respond to visual and audible warnings in a safe manner.

IDEAL CANDIDATE:

1. Prior experience with API, ISO, American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM), American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), and/or similar specifications.
2. Prior experience with AMERICAN Steel Pipe's manufacturing execution system (MES), OnBase, JD Edwards, or similar manufacturing execution systems.
3. Prior experience with inspection and testing procedures at Steel Pipe or other similar procedures.
4. Knowledge of mechanical testing requirements for steel pipe and laboratory testing capabilities.
5. Prior Quality Assurance experience.
6. Prior Steel Pipe experience.
7. Exhibit the ability to obtain and maintain Notary Public.
8. Prior experience, coursework, certification, and/or training with technical information.
