POSITION SUMMARY:
Candidates must have manufacturing customer service skill set. The position supports both internal and external customers through efficient communication and coordination of information.
QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or equivalent
Six months of related experience in a manufacturing environment
Proficient in Excel, Word, or other Windows Applications
Clear, professional communication both verbal and written
Must have high level of interpersonal skills to oversee sensitive and confidential information
Ability to communicate with outside sources and customers to acquire necessary information for completion of job tasks
Ability to work within deadlines consistently and with minimal supervision
Ability to apply judgment and discretion where appropriate
Ability to work on multiple projects efficiently
Willingness to make day trips to customer sites
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:
- Proactive management of customer relationships through ongoing communication
- Receives purchase orders and order releases from customers via email, fax, US mail or customer websites.
- Analyzes and identifies customer requirements
- Verifies purchase orders/releases for correct pricing, lead time and delivery
- Sends acknowledgements to customers on all purchase orders
- Generates work orders and documents needed for production.
- Maintains the production schedule and other reports as needed.
- Serves as liaison with sales, manufacturing, purchasing, engineering, and shipping personnel
- Expedites and tracks orders for customers
- Generates correspondence to secure additional customer information to resolve customer disputes
- Verifies shipment packing lists against customer purchase order
- Monitors production status and proactively notifies customers as needed
- Maintains documentation files such as customer files, quote files and purchase order files
- Provides sales with bid development packages, customer request for quotes and proposals
- Complies with quality policies and procedures defined in the Matthews Industries Quality Policy Manual (QPM) as well as other company-initiated guidelines.
Requires continual attention to detail and extreme accuracy
