Senior 6G TIG Welder
Overview:
We are seeking an elite, highly skilled TIG Welder to join our rapidly growing production team specializing in advanced synthesized materials. This is not your standard welding job. I is a highly specialized, zero-defect environment where precision is everything. You will be working with incredibly expensive, solid metal parts derived from complex micro-level alloys and powders. Because of the extreme pressures and outgassing processes involved, a single failed weld means an entire part is scrapped. There is no patching, no rework, and no room for error.
To be successful here, you must be a master of TIG welding with a valid 6G certification.
You must also possess a deep respect for safety, as our environment requires strict protocols regarding argon gas purging and combustible powder management. Whether you have 10 years of experience in the nuclear sector or fewer years but possess top-tier certification and precision training, we want to hear from you.
Due to the nature of our Department of Defense contracts, this position is strictly limited to US Persons.

Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Zero-Defect Precision Welding – Perform flawless TIG (GTAW) welding on stainless steel, nickel-based, and other specialty alloys. Welds must be perfect on the first pass; parts cannot leak, have openings, or undergo rework.
- Complex Fabrications – Conduct 6G positional welds on high-pressure vessels, containers, and specialized blending equipment
- Hazardous Environment Safety – Strictly adhere to advanced safety protocols. Work seamlessly in environments utilizing argon gas blankets to remove oxygen, and maintain rigorous cleanliness standards
- Blueprint & Spec Mastery – Interpret and work from complex engineering drawings, blueprints, and welding procedure specifications (WPS) to maintain strict dimensional accuracy.
- Quality Assurance & Inspection – Execute precise pre- and post-weld inspections, ensuring 100% compliance with ASME Section IX, AWS D17.1, and internal defect-free standards.
- Collaborative Process Improvement – Work closely with engineering, machining, and metallurgical teams to optimize weld performance and support lean manufacturing initiatives.
Benefits

- Certification: Active 6G Welding Certification.
- Specialized Skillset: Strict, dedicated experience with TIG (GTAW) welding. (Note: MIG welding experience does not cross over for this role).
- Citizenship: Must be a US Person (required for compliance with DOD contractual agreements).
- Quality Mindset: Proven ability to maintain extreme dimensional accuracy and perform critical welds where failure means starting from scratch.
- Safety Focus: Deep understanding of industrial safety, ideally with experience working around industrial gases (argon purging), autogenous welding, and highly sensitive materials.
Preferred:
- Experience: 5 to 10 years of specialized TIG welding experience (Highly skilled candidates with less tenure but strict niche experience will be strongly considered).
- Industry Background: Previous experience in Nuclear, Aerospace, Defense
- Technical Knowledge: Deep familiarity with alloy compatibility and high-temperature/high-pressure component fabrication.
Physical Requirements & Environment
- Exposure to high heat, heavy machinery, and industrial gases in a highly controlled manufacturing setting.
- Must rigorously utilize and wear PPE, including welding hoods, gloves, and protective clothing for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and occasionally work in confined or heavily restricted spaces to perform critical welds.
