Beautiful office is located in the Vestavia/Homewood area. Medical Billing professional with strong communication and organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks independently. Broad knowledge of health care terminology, accounting principles, and regulations.

This position plays a key role in supporting the revenue cycle process and managing accounts in a collaborative team environment. Responsibilities include reviewing past-due accounts to ensure all insurance collection efforts have been exhausted and that patients have received multiple statements prior to accounts being referred to a collection agency. This position does not involve contacting patients to request payment on delinquent accounts.

Additional duties include:

• Providing exceptional customer service to patients over the phone.
• Processing credit card payments.
• Verifying insurance coverage and eligibility.
• Submitting claims and following up on aging accounts receivable.
• Investigating and resolving payment denials by correcting errors and providing additional documentation to facilitate reimbursement.
• Communicating effectively with payers, patients, and team members to ensure timely and accurate reimbursement.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of medical billing experience preferred.
• Billing certification or equivalent experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding.
• Strong understanding of the revenue cycle and insurance billing processes.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
