Senior Project Manager - Water/Wastewater (Civil/Biosystems/Environmental)
Your impact
We’re looking for an experienced and collaborative Senior Water/Wastewater Project Manager to lead strategic projects and build strong partnerships with key municipal clients in the Birmingham area.
As a Senior Project Manager, you’ll:
- Understand client organizations and processes, develop and maintain relationships at all levels, and position Jacobs as the consultant of choice.
- Leverage your leadership and people management skills to optimize team performance and deliver high-quality technical solutions.
- Play a key role in business development activities, including client relationship building, project positioning, teaming strategies, proposal preparation, presentations, and contract negotiations.
- Contribute to shaping our Alabama Water Strategy, delivering innovative solutions while expanding and diversifying our client base.

Here's what you'll need
- B.S. or M.S. degree in Civil, Environmental, Biosystems Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 10 years of progressively responsible project management experience with water/wastewater treatment and conveyance projects and municipal consulting.
- Professional Engineer (PE) required.
- Strong understanding of project delivery tools and metrics, with a proven history of leading teams to successfully meet client expectations.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, self-motivation, and team-oriented work practices.
- Strong data analysis, technical problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Proven track record of developing and maintaining strong client relationships that lead to new and repeat work.
- Skilled in interpersonal relationship building, conflict resolution, and leading diverse teams.

Posted Salary Range: Minimum
134,500.00
Posted Salary Range: Upper
176,625.00

Jacobs has an unlimited U.S. Personalized Paid Time Off (PPTO) policy for full-time salaried/exempt employees, seven paid holidays, and caregiver leave. And certain roles may be eligible for additional rewards, including merit increases, performance discretionary bonus, and stock.
The base salary range for this position is $134,500.00 to $176,625.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
