Metro Services is seeking to immediately fill Production Team Member positions for a Manufacturing company in Huntsville, AL. This is a Temp/Contract job. Apply now!
Duties for this position include:
• Operate saws and equipment to cut wood parts according to specifications
• Assemble materials to produce wood crates using staple gun, nail gun, glue gun, screwdriver, and forklift
• Operate chop saw, band saw, radial arm saw, drill press, table saw, and other tools as required
• Use tape measure to verify part dimensions and ensure accuracy
• Perform quality checks and document production as needed
• Stage completed parts and prepare for shipping
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned area and equipment
• Adhere to all company policies, production standards, and safety requirements
• Report quality or safety issues promptly
• Complete other tasks and support different work areas as production needs require
Compensation (USD):
$18.00/hour
Schedule:
1st Shift
Monday - Friday
6:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
Successful candidates must meet the following requirements:
• High School Diploma or GED, or 0–3 months related experience/training, or equivalent
• Must be able to read and follow written, illustrated, and verbal instructions
• Experience with power tools in a manufacturing or construction environment
• Ability to gain proficiency in using nail gun, staple gun, table saw, chop saw, and other related tools
• Must demonstrate ability to read a tape measure to 1/16" and pass required testing
• Must successfully complete training on all required equipment within specified time
• Forklift certification required if operating forklift
• Must pass a background check and drug screen
