ICU RN Job Details

• Location: Albuquerque, NM 87109 (New Mexico healthcare job)
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (September 8, 2025 – December 8, 2025)
• Shift: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 – 07:30); 36 or 48 hours/week options
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,730 - $1,780
• Setting: ICU/CCU (32 beds) – critical care nursing
• Patient Ratio: 1:2 in ICU
• Float: Required to similar critical care units as needed
• Weekend Shifts: Rotating weekends
• Documentation System: EPIC (preferred for healthcare professionals)

ICU Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active New Mexico or Compact RN license (required at time of submission)
• Minimum 2 years of ICU nursing experience preferred
• First-time travel nurses accepted with 2-3 years of progressive ICU experience
• Experience with CRRT (Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy) required
• Certifications: ACLS and BLS required
• Preferred certifications: CRRT, CPI, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility (local candidates not accepted)
• Experience with EPIC charting system preferred

ICU RN Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care to critically ill adult patients in the ICU
• Manage complex diagnoses: ARDS, sepsis, CHF, overdose, post-op complications, DKA, GI bleeds, surgical high risk, and dialysis (CRRT, HD, PF)
• Monitor and titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips
• Perform and assist with advanced ICU procedures: arterial line management, central line care, ventilator management, blood product administration
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams: physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response
• Float to similar critical care units as needed and adapt to varying patient care needs
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation using EPIC
