Logistics Manager
We’re supporting a leading specialty petrochemical company in their search for a Logistics Manager , and this role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of asphalt logistics and customer service activities for both retail and wholesale operations. In addition to logistics oversight, this position plays a key role in analyzing market and financial data to identify opportunities for margin improvement and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities
- Manage asphalt logistics and terminal supply across truck, rail, and barge
- Ensure reliable supply of asphalt, additives, and polymers while minimizing working capital
- Analyze terminal P&L performance and identify margin improvement opportunities
- Optimize supply chain and logistics costs
- Provide market intelligence on pricing, inventory, and competitive trends
- Support business planning and forecasting for new and existing terminals
- Manage small capital projects for asphalt terminals
- Oversee terminal operating expenses and cost optimization initiatives
- Collaborate with technical teams to optimize chemical usage and resolve quality issues
- Maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and customers
- Travel to terminals and industry events as required
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering with 3+ years of experience
OR Bachelor’s degree in business or related field with 10+ years of relevant experience - Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Strong financial and operational analytical capabilities
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and priorities in a fast-paced environment
