Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current SLP license (or eligibility) for Alabama
- Prior experience with school-aged children or within an educational setting
- Strong communication and collaborative skills
- Ability to assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders
- Proficiency in developing individualized education plans (IEPs) and documenting progress
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations and provide therapy for students with speech and language needs
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other staff to create supportive learning environments
- Develop targeted treatment plans and goals for each student on your caseload
- Maintain accurate records in accordance with school and state regulations
- Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
- Offer guidance and education to families and staff on communication strategies
