Parts Advisor - Inside Parts Sales
Job description: Ward Trucks of Mobile is hiring a Parts Advisor. Summary * Parts Counter Representatives are responsible for selling parts over-the-counters, over-the-phone, and occasionally, on-line, to our customers while promoting and maintaining a positive, team oriented, and customer focused attitude within the parts department. Duties and Responsibilities
- Assisting customers in selecting and purchasing the correct parts.
- Providing pricing and product information to customers.
- Answering telephones promptly.
- Maintaining customer satisfaction at or above company standards.
- Assisting with inventory validation.
- Contributing to departmental production and profitability goals.
- Ability to apply common sense when needed, while staying within company guidelines.
- Heavy Duty Parts Counter experience preferred.
- High school diploma or GED; at least 1 year of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Customer service skills.
- Reasoning ability.
- Technical skills.
- Problem Solving.
- Computer skills.
- Moderate physical activity. Requires handling of average-weight objects up to 50 pounds or standing and/or walking for more than four (4) hours per day.
- Work environment involves minimal exposure to physical risks, such as operating dangerous equipment or working with chemicals.
- Work may involve moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises.
