Our facility in Huntsville, AL has an immediate opportunity for an experienced Project Engineer to join our mission. In this role, you will support the NGI program with the following:
-Coordinates IMS planning, task organization, change control, integration, and completion of engineering and production projects within the AUR IPT focusing on EGSE design and manufacturing.
- Coordinates activities concerned with EGSE technical developments, EGSE manufacturing, scheduling, and resolving engineering design and manufacturing problems.
- Performing problem solving, including developing and assisting in managing detailed project plans, timelines, and technical content
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
Proven experience in project planning and technical management.
Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
Ability to create and maintain Integrated Master Schedules (IMS).
Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Open Plan, Microsoft Project, Asana, Jira).
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy.
U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain DoD Secret Security Clearance.
Desired Skills:
Experienced project-coordination experience (e.g., creating task lists, maintaining schedules, tracking status) with exposure to formal project-management tools.
Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to work collaboratively with peers, customers, and supervisors and to build professional relationships.
Prior manufacturing or manufacturing floor support experience
Capability to assist technical leads and peers in tracking cost, schedule, and scope items and to provide clear status updates.
Ability to apply systems-thinking concepts; able to identify how a changes in one area may affect others and suggest practical improvements.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
