The Kitchen Steward/Dishwasher is primarily responsible for the overall cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen areas in compliance with hotel policies and procedures, brand standards, and local/state/federal health regulations. The Steward will maintain the kitchen areas to ensure maximum guest satisfaction.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, and utensils in a clean and orderly manner
• Clean and sanitize all areas of the kitchen
• Operate dishwashing machine including proper rack stacking and silver presoaking. Wash dishes, pots and pans, kitchen utensils, glasses, silverware, etc.
• Maintain mop station with mops/buckets, brooms, and proper cleaning solution.
• Sweep and mop floors, keep floors clean and dry, pick up wet spills
• Clean walls, tables, racks sinks, floor mats and disposal area
• Polish stainless steel
• Empty and steam or hose clean garbage cans
• Support the culinary team
• Other duties as required/assigned

Qualifications:

• Prior restaurant industry experience preferred
• Must be able to move about the kitchen area and stand for extended periods of time
• Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• Must be able to frequently bend, stoop, and kneel
• Must be able to perform simple grasping, fine manipulation, and repetitive hand & arm movements consistent with kitchen work
• Must be able to handle food items, objects, projects, kitchen supplies, equipment and utensils in a safe manner

Compensation Range: The compensation for this position is $14.00/Hr. - $16.00/Hr. based on qualifications and experience.
