CNC Programmer
Provides CNC programming support for machining parts & tools on numerically controlled (CNC) machine tools. Ensures parts conform to dimensional specifications and equipment achieves throughput efficiency. Works closely with CNC Programmers, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations Leadership and select contractors / vendors. Specific areas of emphasis will include, but not limited to Multi-Axis Mills and Lathes. Responsibilities
- Programming all CNC machines/controls (Okuma, Fanuc, Haas, etc).
- Program with Inventor Cam.
- Read and understand blueprints
- Cad design 2D AutoCAD and 3D Inventor
- Make layouts for machining
- Troubleshoot parts and programs on the shop floor.
- Set up new parts on CNC Mills and Lathes
- Set up new parts and troubleshoot all Muratecs including loaders
- Manage routings on the Mainframe
- Work with Kanbans
- Work with vendors to improve tooling
- Able to use all quality tools (Comparators, surface analyzers, and gages)
- Contribute to HPT and participate in 5S duties and team-meetings.
- Wear proper PPE and follow all set safety guidelines.
- All other duties as assigned by Supervisor or designee.
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Associates Degree in Precision Machining or equivalent degree preferred
