As a Security Specialist, you’ll be at the center of personnel security operations—guiding candidates through background investigation processes, managing sensitive security documentation, and coordinating access for mission-critical programs.

Position Responsibilities:

• Assist candidates with investigation paperwork.
• Track investigation status and follow up on deficiencies.
• Coordinate CAC cards, badges, and access provisioning.
• Maintain security rosters and audit-ready records; Support updates to the EnProVera FSO.
• Process terminations, access removals, and changes.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Experience supporting federal background investigations or personnel security programs.
• Working knowledge of SF 85/SF 85P/SF 86 processes and eQIP/eAPP systems.
• Familiarity with fingerprinting procedures and agency specific onboarding requirements.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage sensitive information.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Experience in a government contracting environment (DHS, DoD, DOJ, ICE, FPS, ATF, etc.).
• Prior work in personnel security, HR onboarding, or compliance roles.
• Understanding of CUI handling requirements and NIST aligned security practices.
• Experience supporting subcontractors or multi agency onboarding workflows.
• Accuracy and thoroughness in documentation.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to interpret and follow federal security guidelines.
• Clear, supportive communication with candidates and government officials.
• Professional judgment and discretion when handling sensitive information.

Position Information:

• Full Time, FLSA Exempt, US Citizen
• Active Top Secret Clearance
• Location: Huntsville, AL
• Salary Range $65k–$75k
• Drug Free Workplace. This prohibition includes legally prescribed medical marijuana or when legal under state law.

EnProVera may issue conditional job offers that depend on government contract award, funding, contract execution, and required approvals. If the government does not award or fund the contract, cancels the solicitation, or stops contract execution, all contingent offers automatically become void.
