Electrician

**Overview** **Job Summary Details:** The Electrician safely performs troubleshooting, maintenance, tests, repairs and electrical installations in large commercial settings. **Pay: $25-$30 per hour.** The pay listed is the hourly range or the hourly rate for this position. For information about ABM's benefits, visit ABM Employee Benefits | Front Line Team Members ( | (Programa de Beneficios de ABM) **Basic Qualifications:** - Must be 18 years or older - One (1) year of experience as an electrician required; on the job training provided. - Must possess a valid, unexpired driver's license - Must possess apprentice electrician's license in the state, county or city jurisdiction in which work will be performed. **Preferred Qualifications:** - Three (3) years of experience as an electrician is preferred. - Prior experience in industrial maintenance and troubleshooting is preferred. **Responsibilities:** - Perform preventative maintenance on all electrical equipment on-site - Perform electrical installations of a commercial nature - Plan layout and installation of electrical equipment, conduit, wiring and fixtures, based on job specifications and local codes - Install electrical conduit, equipment, fixtures or wiring in floors, walls and ceilings - Install, inspect and test electrical systems - Perform installations which include but are not limited to panel boards, conduits, lay-in fixtures, wall packs, exit signs, light fixtures, disconnects, breakers, power distribution equipment and power supply wiring - Refer to labels, job site maps, instruction manuals, and written instructions to accurately to perform all duties in conformance to appropriate safety and security standards - Report work orders, scheduled jobs and work progress to a foreperson - Ensure code compliance through proper installation of electrical components A good job for someone just entering the workforce or returning to the workforce with limited experience and education.
