We are seeking a dependable and skilled Temporary CDL Driver to cover a critical delivery route for a short-term assignment. This role includes a training ride-along, followed by independent route coverage, ensuring efficient and timely transportation of goods between locations.

CDL Driver Details:

• Temporary position
• $22.19 / hour
• Full Time work available
• First Shift ( Monday through Monday from 06:00am to 04:00pm )

Participate in a ride-along training session with an experienced driver to familiarize with the specific route and operational procedures.

• Safely and efficiently operate a tractor-trailer for designated delivery routes.
• Execute deliveries, commencing with a route to Huntsville that includes trailer unloading and reloading.
• Return to the Birmingham (Bham) branch, pick up an additional trailer, and proceed to the Montgomery branch to perform similar unloading and loading tasks.
• Adhere strictly to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company safety standards.
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and equipment.

CDL Driver Qualifications:

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to safely and effectively operate a tractor-trailer.
• Requires physical ability for tasks such as standing, walking, bending, and lifting as needed for loading/unloading processes.

Qualifications:

• Possession of a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is required.
• Must possess and wear Steel Toe Boots at all times while on duty.
• Successful completion of the company's CDL Checklist is mandatory prior to operating independently.

• Applicant may be subject to a background check
• Applicant may be subject to a Motor Vehicle Report
• Pre-employment drug screen is required as a condition of employment
