Warehouse/Shipping Associate

Job Summary

The Warehouse/Shipping Associate is responsible for receiving, inspecting, and organizing incoming materials, accurately preparing orders for shipment, and maintaining inventory accuracy. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety standards, and the ability to work collaboratively to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials and products.

• Accurately pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment.

• Maintain inventory accuracy through regular/daily cycle counts.

• Operate warehouse equipment (standup forklifts, sit down forklifts) safely and efficiently.

• Load and unload trucks while following proper safety procedures.

• Label, organize, and store materials according to company guidelines.

• Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.

• Follow all OSHA, company, and industry safety regulations.

• Communicate inventory shortages or discrepancies to supervisors.

• Assist with maintaining records of shipments, receipts, and inventory.

• Ensure orders are shipped on time (same day presented) and avoid past due status.

• Adhere to safety, hygiene, and operational procedures at all times.

• Support continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency.

• Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors from other departments when necessary.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or logistics training preferred.

• Experience operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment (certification preferred).

• Basic understanding of inventory management and shipping processes.

• Ability to read and follow shipping documents and system instructions.

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Ability to perform moderate physical tasks safely; lift-assist provided for heavier materials.

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs manually; team lifting or mechanical assist required for heavier loads.
