Your Mission-Critical Responsibilities

• Master Complex Projects: Lead welding/fabrication projects from start to finish (across various job sites for travel positions, or at our local facilities)
• Blueprint Whisperer: Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications like a pro
• Precision Craftsman: Perform hand grinding to prepare materials to perfection
• Quality Champion: Constantly monitor your work to exceed quality standards
• Team Player: Collaborate seamlessly with our skilled Fitters and crews (local or traveling teams)
• Safety Leader: Maintain impeccable safety standards and workspace organization on every job site
• Adaptability Expert: (Travel positions) Quickly adjust to new work environments and project requirements, OR (Local positions) Excel in consistent environments while adapting to evolving project needs

Education & Training

• High school diploma or GED (preferred - we value dedication over degrees!)
• Vocational training or hands-on experience with welding tools and techniques (preferred)
• Growth Mindset: Ready to excel in our comprehensive MYER training programs
• Flexibility: (Travel positions) Flexible schedule and willingness to work away from home for extended periods, OR (Local positions) Commitment to consistent local work and community involvement

Professional Credentials
CHALLENGE ACCEPTED? You must demonstrate mastery by passing our rigorous all-position 3G FCAW/GMAW and 6G GTAW multi-pass single-V groove weld Welder Performance Qualification Test with Visual Examination and Guided Bend Testing per AWS D1.1. (We'll help you succeed regardless of which path you choose!)

⚡ Experience That Counts
Minimum 3 years in production welding - because experience builds excellence! Travel welding experience highly preferred for travel positions but not required - we'll train the right candidate! Local welding experience valued for local positions!

Your Specialized Superpowers

• Welding Mastery: Multi-pass, all-position fillet and butt welds using GMAW (Gas Metal Arc Welding) and GTAW (Gas Tungsten Arc Welding)
• Heat Control: Expert-level Oxygen/Propane heating (torch) operations
• Symbol Savvy: Read and interpret weld symbols like a secret code
• Physical Excellence: Thrive in demanding, hands-on environments (various climates for travel positions, or local conditions for local positions)
• Safety First: Deep knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety best practices
• Advanced Techniques: Air carbon arc gouging expertise
• Precision Tools: Master fillet and bridge cam gauges with accuracy
• Adaptability: (Travel positions) Comfortable working in new environments, OR (Local positions) Excellence in consistent work environments with evolving challenges

Physical Requirements - Are You Ready?
Vision: Sharp enough to read fine print and identify precise markings on calibrated tools
Hearing: Alert to safety signals and able to communicate effectively
Communication: Engage confidently in conversations and group presentations
Equipment Mastery: Operate diverse tools including arc welding equipment, oxy-fuel cutting, grinders, cranes, and more
Strength & Endurance: Carry/lift up to 50lbs, work in confined spaces, heights up to 15 feet
Flexibility: Stand, sit, walk, squat, and navigate varied work environments with ease
Stamina: (Travel positions) Ability to work extended periods away from home while maintaining high performance standards, OR (Local positions) Consistent high performance in familiar environments
