We have an exciting opportunity for a SLS Orion Trajectory Analyst to join our ESSCA contract team at NASA Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, AL. If selected you will: Analyze launch vehicle and spacecraft, dynamics, equations of motion, and trajectories to assess performance of spacecraft trajectories, mission analysis, and related studiesModel ascent and in-space environments, errors, disturbances, GN&C algorithms, sensors, actuators, and mechanismsSimulate and analyze nominal, contingency, and failure scenarios during ascent and in-space flightDevelop algorithms and tools to analyze 3 DOF trajectories using Monte Carlo techniquesPerform studies and insight analysis for NASA's HLS programExecute/modify existing software/scripts in C, Python, C++Qualifications: This position has been posted at multiple levels. Depending on the candidate's experience, requirements, and business needs, we reserve the right to consider candidates at any level for which this position has been advertised.A degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics or related field from an ABET accredited institution is required. Typical experience requirements are the equivalent a Masters with at least 3 years of experience, or BS with at 0-5 years of experience.
