What You Will Do

As a Warehouse Receiver/Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods between our two local locations using a company box truck. Because there will not be a lot of deliveries the majority of the time this position will assist the Receiving department where they will be responsible for receiving, inspecting, and organizing goods in a busy warehouse environment. This role requires excellent driving skills, attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely and efficiently operate a box truck, van, or tractor-trailer to deliver goods between designated locations
• Load and unload cargo using pallet jacks, forklifts, or other equipment as necessary
• Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition
• Receive and unload incoming shipments from trucks.
• Inspect deliveries for accuracy and quality, checking for any damage.
• Ensure all goods are accurately recorded and logged into the inventory system.
• Organize and store products in the appropriate location within the warehouse.
• Collaborate with other warehouse personnel to maintain an organized and clean workspace.
• Assist in stocktaking and inventory checks as needed.
• Follow all safety and operational procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
• Handle and report any discrepancies or damaged goods to management.

Qualifications:

• Ability to safely operate equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts
• Knowledge of local traffic laws and regulations
• Must take and pass required DOT medical certification
• Good Driving Record
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous warehouse or receiving experience preferred, but not required.
• Ability to lift and move heavy items (up to 50 lbs).
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Basic computer skills (experience with inventory management software is a plus).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
• Must be 21 years old

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Monday – Friday
