NDE Technician II
Functions:
- Conduct and document Nondestructive Testing operations
- Develop, review, and approve NDT procedures in accordance with applicable codes and customer requirements
- Administer and maintain ASNT-TC-1A Qualification of personnel
- Assure safe usage and handling of radioactive equipment and personnel
- Monitor critical equipment / instrumentation and maintain necessary NDT records to meet third party certification and/or regulatory requirements.
- Evaluate problems and make initial recommendations for possible corrective action
As a minimum, must possess and maintain SNT-TC-1A NDE level II certification on RT, VT, MT, LP
- Advanced knowledge of quality terms, definitions, and concepts
- Understanding of types of measurement, measurement terminology and the different types of measurement scales
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
