Provide specialized nursing care in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), supporting vulnerable newborns requiring critical attention. This contract position offers a focused opportunity to apply your NICU expertise within a dedicated team setting, working night shifts to ensure continuous, high-quality patient care.

Schedule:

• 3x12 hour shifts, nights (18:45 - 07:15)
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week
• Weekend hours every other weekend
• No call requirements

Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to neonates in a 32-bed NICU with a patient-to-nurse ratio of 3:1
• Monitor and manage critical care equipment and technology utilized for neonatal support
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation in Cerner EMR
• Adhere strictly to infection control policies, including maintaining natural nails without gel or acrylic enhancements
• Float, as needed, within your scope of practice to nearby facilities within a 25-mile radius

Qualifications:

• Active RN license with a minimum of 2 years NICU experience
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications
• Ability to work night shifts and comply with the rigorous demands of neonatal critical care
• Familiarity with Cerner electronic medical records system is preferred
• Commitment to maintaining professional appearance; navy blue scrubs required
