Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Special Education or a related field
- Valid Special Education teaching certificate or eligibility in Alabama
- Experience developing and implementing IEPs
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Adaptable approach to meet the diverse needs of students
- Previous experience in school settings preferred
Your Responsibilities:
- Plan, modify, and deliver targeted instruction based on students’ individual education plans
- Conduct assessments and track student progress, keeping thorough records
- Partner with general education staff, administrators, and families to support student learning
- Foster a positive, encouraging classroom setting where all students feel included and motivated
- Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and staff trainings as required
- Implement classroom management techniques and accommodations for varied learning needs
